Memoirs of a Geisha
by Arthur Golden
I received this book from the library and was starting to read it as much as I want to I had a school book I have to read first but what I did get to was good enough for me to read the school book as fast as I can.
One of the few books I’ve ever re-read, and not because I was going back and just trying reaffirm something or figure it out but because I truely love the story! All the descriptions of the materials of the kimono are so alive and vibrant, the dances and geisha-I’ve never read a book where it felt so alive and in front of me and not just running thru my mind.
Please pick this one up! A white man wrote this book about a Japanese womyn. Xia Ling, here’s confirmation of the comment you made on the book ‘Womyn’! ‘Geisha’ is a masterpiece!
